Permanently free games. More correctly, “temporary permanently free for the foreseeable future” games.
Death Rally (Classic) is now permanently free on Steam. If you don’t mind the old looking pixelated graphics, Death Rally makes for a fun top-down vehicular combat racer. Time to play it again and see if it has changed since my review.
Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure, an already free game on Epic Games Store, is now also free on GOG.com.
The other two permanently free games added to GOG.com’s collection are Ascendant and War Wind.

GOG.com has been giving away permanently free games for over a decade. The number of permafreebies have also been steadily increasing. It is good to see GOG put them all on a single handy page.
The only ones I have played from that list are Beneath a Steel Sky, Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar, Tyrian 2000 and Stargunner.
The Lords of Midnight and Doomdark’s Revenge have been made permanently free on GOG.com.
They are very old games, but if you are interested, get them while they are permanently free. History has shown that permanently free games can be made unfree(not a real word). Like Dragonsphere. Instead of permanently free, maybe I should say “temporary permanently free for the foreseeable future”. But that is just too long to type.
Anyway, time to make a new tag permafree to separate the permanently available for free games from the available free for a limited time games.
